Jean  Marie Wandersee

Jean Marie Schaefer Wandersee, 86, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital with her family by her side. She was born September 9, 1924 in Salamanca, New York to the late Carl and Jane Schaefer.
She was a member of the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church where she chaired many Church dinners and arranged and delivered flowers to members of the Church who were ill. Jean was also a member of Landings Golf Club, the Lady's 9 Hole Golf Club and the Landings Garden Club.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Donald E. Wandersee, of Skidaway Island, her daughter and son-in-law, Carol J. and Jon Kurtz, of Downers Grove, Illinois, also two granddaughters, Tabitha Ann Sullivan, and her husband, William, of Aurora, Illinois, and Lindsay Jean Nauss, and her husband, William of Naperville, Illinois. Also her sister, Carol Brennan, of Williamsville, New York, and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jim Giddens officiating.
Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church, or the Savannah Humane Society.
